Vanuatu Coffee Roasters, beloved for its Rhody coffee creation, sadly closed on Feb 26. Good news is, they posted on Facebook that they will be reopening under new management with the same great coffee and an extended menu. An opening date has not been released.

Dash Bicycle has relocated to 228 Broadway (from 267 Broadway) as of May 10. Visit them to check out their new space! 10am – 7pm,

Brandon’s Beach: The Downtown Providence Parks Conservancy (DPPC) held a goundbreaking for Brandon’s Beach, a destination playground in historic downtown Providence for children of all abilities dedicated in memory of Brandon Goldner. The park is scheduled to be completed by the end of the summer. Burnside Park in Kennedy Plaza

Yovanis Artisan Pizzeria was recently opened by two entrepreneurs who are well-seasoned in the restaurant business. Their mission is to bring their passion for good food, fresh ingredients and consistency to their customers. Their menu ranges from gourmet pizza to various sandwiches and wraps and even seafood creations. 40 Macondray St, Cumberland.

Harry’s Bar & Burger has opened a new location in Lincoln. Harry’s is known for their flavor packed sliders and wide selection of craft beer. This is Harry’s first location outside of PVD. They will also be opening a Newport location later this year. 200 Front St, Lincoln.

The Hungry Goat’s Kitchen just opened where Master Pizza used to be in Pawtucket. It serves locally sourced and seasonal entrees. 881 Central Ave, Pawtucket.

Tapped Apple Winery started its winery storefront project last year and plans to open soon. Tapped Apple uses a family recipe, and the freshest apples New England has to offer, to create their apple wine. 37 High St, Westerly.

Savoy Bookstore & Café boasts a warm and inviting atmosphere. Customers can enjoy a wide selection of books and gifts. Sip on a latte or enjoy a soup of the day while you devour a good book. Also offering storytime for kids and author talk events. 10 Canal St, Westerly.

Pomplemo Gelato is bringing authentic Italian gelato to the people of RI. Pomplemo offers 18 rotating flavors of gelato and sorbetto crafted with Italian tradition and fresh local ingredients. The shop also brews various Italian coffee drinks. 31 High St, Westerly.

Re Reads Bookshop has made it their mission to give gently used books a new life. The shop hand selects used books and presents them neatly for your browsing pleasure. Their selection of books spans from new releases to classics in a wide variety of genres. The shop also has a great selection of children and young adult books. 53 High St, Westerly.

Friskie Fries is opening a second location in downtown Providence just a block away from their home bar @thealleycatpvd and late night food truck spot on Washington.

Schastea, the new face of The Elephant Room, is opening a second location on Broadway in PVD. With blooming tea, crepes and treats, the West Side will welcome them with open arms. 299 Broadway, PVD.

The Strand: There are hints on social media to The Strand opening back up or a possible rebranding of Lupo’s/Roxy. Stay tuned!

Mother Mystic: Mother Mystic is sadly closing at the end of May. 470 Dean St, PVD.

Romeo’s Kitchen and Cocktails has closed and is being sold as a “turnkey restaurant for lease.” 139 Acorn St, PVD 

Leviathan Shop is closing, hopefully to re-open under new management. 745 Westminster St, PVD.
