What’s your biggest pet peeve?
It really bothers me when people dress up their cars. The reindeer horns and Rudolph noses, or the eyelashes and mustaches bug me!
What’s your favorite movie?
The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy, The Bourne Ultimatum, The Bourne Legacy, Jason Bourne, and I’m reading Jason Bourne Enigma.
What’s your best derby injury story?
My first year as a skater, we were doing drills — long sprints, the whole length of the Narragansett Rink. I was booking … really fast. I didn’t have the skills yet to stop while going so fast, so I slid. The slide didn’t slow me down, but the brick wall at the end of rink stopped me head first! Despite the helmet, I still blacked out for a few seconds. I woke to a crowd of concerned skaters above me as I lay on my back. To check if I was okay, one of the skaters asked me, “Who’s the President?” And I answered, “The president of roller derby? Buzz AlDread, right?” I didn’t have a concussion, but I did have to get a new helmet.
What’s your best Valentine’s Day story?
When I was in school, on Valentine’s Day you could buy carnations and send them to your favorite person. I used to get them every year from a secret admirer. Years later I realized that those flowers were sent by my brother Kevin. He has always looked out for me and still does today!
What’s your break-up remedy?
Focusing on the future and staying positive.
