Riveters Rock the BrewHaHa

The weekend of June 3 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, featured the annual BrewHaHa roller derby tournament where (#105) the RI Riveters rallied together to claim two out of three victories.  Kicking off Saturday, the Riveters defeated Kalamazoo Kill Stars in a nail-biting 185-175 bout and on Sunday they defeated DuPage Derby Dames 219-148. However it took the host city team Brewcity Bruisers to hand a loss to PRD, 187-133. PRD’s second travel team, the Killah Bees put up a fight against Fox Cities, Minnesota Nice and Brewcity Battlestars, but came home empty-handed. Never letting defeat get in the way of their perseverance, the Bees still have a chance to leave this season on a high note.

Closing out the 2017 travel season, PRD will host a double-header against (#147) Leigh Valley on June 10 at Thayer Arena in Warwick. The Riveters will take on the LV All Stars and the Bees will battle it out with  LV’s Blast Furnace Betties.
