RI Blues Fest: ​A locally produced Blues Fest with international performers joins
the pantheon of RI music fests. If you went to the booze fest here last year, just add an “L” and you’re set. Performances by Marcia Ball, the Heather Gillis Band, Jack Broadbent and Neal and the Vipers on Sat, The Dirty Dozen Jazz Band, Selwyn Birchwood, The Lois Greco
Band and Chris Stovall Brown on Sunday, with beer, food trucks, mini golf and batting cages all day both days. Mulligan’s Island, 1000 New London Ave, Cranston.

FOO Fest:​ The wackiness returns to Empire Street in one of the summer’s biggest block parties, with a full day’s line-up headlined by Pere Ubu and Rah Digga, and including Show Me the Body, Chachi Carvalho, Lookers, Harvey Garbage, Consuelo’s Revenge,
Black Acid Prophecy, Medusah Black, La Neve, Boo City, Fine, Viennagram, Foolish Heart X Mizuchi, Le Feeling, Space Heater, Rectrix, DirtyDurdie and AS220 Youth’s performers. There will also be art installations, food, drink, anarchic books and other entertaining asides.
