A Jimi Hendrix Celebration at Fete

When people talk about the greatest guitar players of all time, Jimi Hendrix is always mentioned by one person and then agreed upon by everyone else in the conversation. How can you not think of Hendrix when it comes to being one of, if not the best guitarists of all time? In a short time he innovated the way people play and influenced a countless number of artists after him, and still does to this day. Multiple genres have progressed due to Hendrix’s skills and his music still holds up as some of the best stuff you can listen to. Needless to say, Jimi Hendrix is a timeless artist who’ll be appreciated long into the future.

On June 10 an all-star lineup of artists will be paying tribute to the grandmaster of guitar at Fete Music Hall in Providence. Reggae rocksteady funk fiends Boo City, hip-hop party starter Chachi Carvahlo and his backing band The International Players and the Jimi Hendrix tribute act Bold As Love led by guitar extraordinaire David Prout will be taking the stage. As if that wasn’t enough, there will be multiple special guest performances and the music of Hendrix will be flowing all night long. It promises to be a one of a kind local live music event that people won’t be able to ignore.

The extravaganza starts at 9pm and goes to 2am. Even if you just want to stop by and check it out or stay the whole time, there are bound to be multiple moments taking place on stage in the Fete Ballroom that you won’t ever forget. Head over for a night celebrating one of the greats while enjoying the skills of some of Providence’s finest artists.
