Daisy Mae is a chill older lady who loves everyone and everything, especially hanging on the couch. Her bestie Cocoa Bean, on the other hand, is a zesty little guy who wants to run zoomies around the backyard. It may take Coco a few minutes to warm up, but once you’re in his circle you’re stuck with this cuddle bug on your lap indefinitely! You really can have the best of both worlds with this bonded pair. Daisy Mae, a 13-year-old mixed breed, and Cocoa Bean, a 4-year-old chihuahua mix, have found themselves at Providence Animal Rescue League after their family had to move away.
Upon arrival at the shelter, they had their vet visits which revealed both pups are heartworm positive. PARL is funding the treatment for these two cuties but ideally they’d love to receive treatment in a foster home rather than in the shelter. PARL is looking for a foster-to-adopt arrangement for the dynamic duo. Motif spoke with the kennel manager at PARL, who reports that Daisy and Coco could thrive in just about any home and would make sweet and loving additions to the family. Daisy would prefer a home with less stairs and Coco would prefer a home with dog-savvy kids.
Daisy Mae and Coco Bean are in PARL’S special adoption program, where additional counseling for in-home success is provided. If you are interested in them, please complete an Adopter Profile form at parl.org/adopt and email sclode@parl.org.
