Cultural festivals are as strong a summer tradition in RI as Del’s and clamcakes. We rounded up a few of the biggest ones happening this season so you can mark your calendar (or just tear this page out and stick it on your fridge) and dive into a plate of fried dough.

Venezuela Flag Raising and Independence Day Celebration: Celebrate Venezuela’s independence day with ceremony and celebration. 6pm, 25 Dorrance St, PVD. rilatinoarts.org

Argentina Flag Raising and Independence Day Celebration: Come back to City Hall for another independence day celebration and flag raising ceremony for Argentina. 5pm, 25 Dorrance St, PVD. rilatinoarts.org

Colombian Flag Raising: Celebrate Colombian independence with this flag raising ceremony that follows a speaking program inside City Hall. 4:30pm, 137 Roosevelt Ave, Pawtucket. Rilatinoarts.org

Colombian-American Parade and Festival: The parade will start in Pawtucket and end with a festival in Central Falls. 10am – 8pm, Pawtucket and Higginson Park, Central Falls. rilatinoarts.org

St. Mary’s Feast: This is the 112th year Cranston celebrates Italian culture with great food, live music, games and fireworks. Starts at 4pm, 15 Phenix Ave, Cranston. sangennarofeast.com/st-marys-feast

JUL 29 & 30

Cultural Survival Summer Bazaar: This event brings work from indigenous artists around the world directly to the American people.
