DR. SEUSS’ HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS! THE MUSICAL features the hit songs “You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch” and “Welcome Christmas” (written by Albert Hague and Dr. Seuss) from the original animated series. Max the Dog narrates this classic holiday tale that is fun for all Whos, tall and small, as the mean and scheming Grinch, whose heart is “two sizes too small,” decides to steal Christmas from the Whos, an endlessly cheerful bunch bursting with holiday spirit.

Dr. Seuss (Theodor Geisel) told Redbook that one morning (the day after Christmas) he looked into the mirror and thought he looked a little “Grinch-ish.” That lightbulb moment, along with being bothered for many years about the over-commercialization of the Christmas holiday, inspired him to write How the Grinch Stole Christmas!. Since its publication in 1957, How the Grinch Stole Christmas! has become a classic for the holidays and really, for any time of the year. The story has been adapted into an animated TV special, an animated film, and now, a musical.
