Sponsored Content – Tower of Power with the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra

For over 55 years, TOWER OF POWER has delivered the best in funk and soul music.  Their signature “Oakland soul” sound  and raucous party spirit have netted them the hits “You’re Still A Young Man,” “Down to the Nightclub,” “So Very Hard to Go” and “What is Hip?”.  They have also backed legendary artists including Otis Redding, Elton John, The Grateful Dead, and Bonnie Raitt, among others.

On October 28, for one night only, the band will perform with the Rhode Philharmonic Orchestra at PPAC. The concert is conducted by Troy Quinn.

TOWER OF POWER first performed live with a symphony orchestra in July 2022, with the San Diego Symphony Orchestra. The musical pairing also marked the first time the Orchestra had played with a funk/soul band. Within the past year, TOWER OF POWER has also performed with The Colorado Symphony, the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra.
