Rhode Island’s food truck scene goes to show how beloved these mobile food carriers really are. These annual awards aim to gather the food truck community in a space that celebrates them while also trying to encapsulate the love and joy the food truck festivals all over the state provide for the public. We’ve enjoyed getting to watch new trucks (and there are so many this year!) begin their journeys in our beautiful state and always look for[1]ward to watching them settle into this wonderful community.

This year, we’re doing the event like we’ve never done it before. Our Food Truck Awards will be part of a larger event celebrating our 20th anniversary as a magazine. This means that there will be even more bells and whistles than usual. Anticipate vendors, live music, magicians, kid-friendly activities and more. After the Food Truck Awards ends, we’ll be shifting gears into our Bartender Awards which include bartending competitions, burlesque performances, liquor tastings, and more. Voting is now live for all the awards that are happening that day, but to vote for the Food Truck Awards specifically, use the QR code or link above.

Here’s a list of all the food trucks that were put on our radar in the RI area. We know we’ve missed some, as there are many tied to specific locations or that just come out once in a while – let us know about those! And in online voting, you can always write in a name that we didn’t know about. To assemble this list, we relied on the generosity of Food Trucks In, PVD Food Truck Events, and Ocean State Food Truck Events, who maintain amazing lists of trucks. You’ll find this list online too – please reference it when filling in our open-ended categories.
