Ogie’s Saved: PVD’s recent fire spree leaves the beloved bar unscathed

If you are a denizen of Providence, it is unlikely that you haven’t heard about the recent uptake in fires afflicting our city. The cause of these fires is unknown, but we have our suspicions it could be related to Judgement Day (we thought we had at least a few more years, but this upcoming election really sped things up). A fire on Oct. 15th nearly took out Ogie’s Trailer Park, but opted instead for a neighboring commercial building (No one was injured, although many commercial vehicles and supplies were consumed by the fire). While an unfortunate incident, our sources tell us that it has created an excellent Iphone background of the Ogie’s sign emblazoned in flame. A gentleman and Ogie’s employee at the scene, tells us about the fire in a raspy voice. One of our more experienced agents eagerly asked the man if his raspiness was from the smoke – thinking, did we get a beat on a local, hometown hero, who burst into the burning building to save the day?!– unfortunately he reassures that no, his voice just sounds that way. Embarrassed, we fired the naive reporter. We sent some of our more trusted reporters to the scene of the crime, and while most of them ended up drunk at the Ogies bar, one humble investigator managed to cross police lines to get a few decent snaps of the fire damage.
