Many of the articles in this issue are about empowering women. Are there things you do regularly to help ensure equality or promote female empowerment?
I’ll share events and groups with ladies that I think might be interested. I try to not tear anyone down, but instead encourage them in their goals.
We’re also celebrating local musicians in this issue. Do you have a favorite local band?
My favorite local band is Sybil Disobedience Rock Dance Cover Band.
What’s your favorite book?
I am a fan of Rob Sheffield. My favorite of his is Love is a Mix Tape.
What do you never leave home without?
A book and my iPod.
What’s your biggest pet peeve?
Rudeness; there isn’t really any reason for it. You see and hear stories of all these people being nice and then others saying how great that is. Well, stop looking at the examples and become one. I know that everyone has a bad moment, but stop, count to 5 (if you have to), go back in with a smile and just be nice. Be kind. It is just that simple
