
MAGIC BUTTER
½ oz or 14 grams MJ
1lb Salted Butter (can use any fat, i.e., vegan butter/ghee/tallow)
Instructions:
Grind flower and spread on a piece of parchment paper. Put into preheated 230° oven for 20-30 min. In a double boiler (or metal bowl over a boiling pot of water if no DB), add butter and allow to melt. Add flower to butter, allowing temperature to sit at 160° for 2-4 hours for best results. You can also use a crock pot for this step, set to low, but it is best to add water to prevent scorching. Strain through a fine mesh strainer to remove plant matter.
INFUSED CHEX MIX
3 cups Corn Chex Cereal
3 cups Rice Chex Cereal
3 cups Wheat Chex Cereal
1 cup mixed nuts
1 cup bite-size Pretzels
1 cup Regular-Size bagel chips
4 tablespoons Magic Butter
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 ½ teaspoons seasoned salt (can replace with any seasoning mix of choice like taco, southwest etc.)
¾ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
Instructions:
In a large microwavable bowl, mix cereals, nuts, pretzels, and bagel chips; set aside.
In a small microwavable bowl, microwave butter uncovered on high about 40 seconds or until melted. Stir in seasonings. Pour over cereal mixture; stir until evenly coated.
Microwave uncovered on high 5 to 6 minutes, thoroughly stirring every 2 minutes. Spread on paper towels to cool. Store in an airtight container.
MARIJUANERA, aka Not Your Mama’s Pasta Sauce
2 cans crushed tomatoes
1 can fire-roasted diced
1 can tomato paste
2 tbsp sugar (to taste)
1 large onion, diced
1 large carrot, diced
8 Cloves garlic, minced
Salt to taste
1 tbsp black pepper
2 tbsp Italian seasoning
½ tbs crushed red pepper
2 tbsp EVOO
4 tbsp magic butter
Parmesan rind (optional)
Instructions:
In a large, hot pan add EVOO and aromatics until onions are translucent. Add all tomato products. Add one small can of water, allow mixture to come to a simmer. Cover, stirring regularly. As mixture is simmering add parmesan rind and all seasonings except salt. Simmer for 2 – 4 hours on low, stirring occasionally. Add salt to taste. Near the end of the process add magic butter, allow to incorporate. Serve with your favorite pasta. •
