More Wind, Rain, Flooding Overnight to Sat Morning: Another 1 – 2 inches rain will add to swollen rivers, streams

At Providence, another significant storm will bring an expected 1 – 2 inches additional rain to already swollen rivers and streams, up to 3 feet of coastal flood inundation, and wind gusts peaking to 40MPH.

Rain is expected to start Sat 12am (midnight) and end 9am, heavy at times overnight. Wind gusts exceeding 30MPH are likely Sat 2am and continuing long after the rain has stopped, possibly as late as 10pm. The duration of the wind will correlate with increased risk of coastal flooding through Sun afternoon.

Temperatures in the mid-50s Sat afternoon will quickly fall into the 30s Sun and further to below normal with afternoon highs in the 20s by Wed and Thu. Snow is possible Tue afternoon into Wed.
