Air & Anchor Makes Custom Jewelry With Meaning

“I love your necklace, where did you get it?!” A question all girl’s-girls revere. This time I was the one asking. “Air & Anchor!” was the reply. The new pop-up found its home in Garden City Shopping Center back in 2023, and in addition to the Cranston location, the brand has been popping up at events across New England since their debut. I happened to run into them at a Newport Polo Match. This is where I first got my hands on their patented “cuff keeper” clasp that is designed to hold Air & Anchor’s extensive collection of charms, engagement rings, and in the words of the lovely girl who was showing the piece to me “anything you want to put on it!” This interaction is what promptly led me to the Cranston showroom the next week. The showroom was beautifully decorated with a minimalist, Ameriana flare. Deep blue and green hues contrasted with the wooden spools that hold the customizable chains. There were dozens of chain options in gold and silver, even beaded and rope chains for a slightly different aesthetic. Each charm has a unique meaning – from initials to religious symbols, to animals and more. I decided to go with a lightning bolt charm called “When Lightning Strikes”- which for me represents strength, and the flash of a camera. I also snagged a “Magic in the Everyday” pendant for a fun pop of green. As if the charms didn’t provide enough customization, I even decided to do a custom chain with a half and half pattern. From the length, to the metal choice, A + A will make you a necklace that is unique to you. I’ve yet to go a day without my chain since purchasing it, and I am certain I’ll be back for more pieces. •
