Local EDM Events To Take You Into 2016

Here’s my Christmas gift to you: a rundown of some of the month’s most sizzling local EDM events! …Thank me later.

First up, pull an all-nighter at Therapy (which DJ Osheen calls the best EDM venue in the Northeast) this Friday, December 4, for Glowjob, starring Turkish-born, Boston-based DJ Bamboora. Bamboora’s eclectic throwdown of various dance music genres supported by Therapy’s world-class lighting and sound systems) is sure to keep you on your feet til the sun comes up (this party goes until 6 am!).

Then, on Saturday the 12th, Tight Crew brings the Nightmare Before Christmas back to Fete. Featuring headliners like Cruze and Revolvr, a special buy modafinil  appearance by the one-and-only Jack Skellington (who else?), plus artificial snow (I mean, why not!?!), this event will probably sell out in advance — for the sixth year in a row! Next, on December 30 why not start ringing in the new year early? The White Panda are giving you good reason to. On New Year’s Eve-eve, this Cali duo will be serving up their (and quite possibly, the only) brand of EDM/hip-hop mashup realness at Lupo’s. These guys are known for putting on excellent shows, complete with dope lighting and infectiously danceable concoctions.

On New Year’s Eve, everyone’s best friends are back to help you celebrate the year in Tight Crew style — this time with Fantasia at Manchester 65 in West Warwick. Take this second helping of holiday hooligans in stride, because there is going to be a lot of great music, (as well as vibes, deco and vendors) packed into this petite venue. This will be the first Fantasia party for Tight Crew, who clearly have an affinity for Disney flicks (Besides Nightmare, they also has Booty and the Beats back in February). With such dynamic, creative, and downright BUMPIN local EDM events on the horizon, it’s like an adult Advent calendar’s being gifted for us all to receive — a month’s worth of entertainment excitement.
