November 3 — so close, yet so far. But here are some earlier dates you should mark on your calendar. Rhode Island is mailing absentee ballot applications to every Rhode Island voter, and your local election office must receive your completed application by October 13 in order for you to mail in your vote. Early, in-person voting begins October 14 and runs through November 2. Generally, early voting takes place at city halls, but go to vote.sos.ri.gov for specific information about your polling places.
