Pop Art Show. Featuring the various personal collections and creations of Chris Popoloski.
7PM-1AM: Rhode Kill, Bad Ass, Holy Cow, Neutral Nation and The Bastards (Pop’s band).
All proceeds from the event will help cover Pop’s final expenses as well as donations to Jobs for Justice and a newly minted Pop memorial fund to assist stage hands and night club workers.
Chris “Pop” Popoloski was the mayor of the Providence original music scene. Sound man, performer, critic, promoter, he did it all. Never afraid to share his opinion, he was a vocal supporter and integral part of the local labor movement and an astute defender of ethics and fairness. He was an avid photographer and gifted teller of “true stories”, who spent his days nonchalantly capturing the beauty and sharing his deep love of the city of Providence. An enthusiastic friend, Pop was always available to anyone who needed a helping hand, advice, or
just a hug. He passed quite unexpectedly on 6 September, 2013 at the age of 45.
