Hip-Hop: Must-See Summer Shows

There’s plenty of music to look forward to this summer, but here are my picks for the shows you just shouldn’t miss.
On June 1, Dillinger is at The Met. He is a dope local artist with positive attitude and great stage energy. On
June 3, as part of PVD Fest is the Artist on the Rise Showcase. This is an amazing line-up of local musicians supporting the community. On June 3 at Aurora is Home grown featuring Khary. This event always has an all star line-up and great energy. Nacho Picaso plays Sonia in Boston on June 7. Apart from all of his antics, Picaso puts on a wild and energetic show that is worth the drive to Boston. On August 31, check out Camden Murphy at Newport Blues Cafe. Expect a talented line-up hand picked by Camden himself. Finally, on August 26 and 27 is Afropunk Fest in Brooklyn. This two-day multi-genre event is like no other with some of the top performers in the industry. And what’s summer without a road trip?
