This beautiful Solstice moment, June 21, 2026 brings the winds of change into our lives. The pivotal points among the planetary movers and shakers of the Zodiac find Gemini, with Uranus and Ceres, reaching across the heavens to connect with Pluto – who is ever ready to muck things up – in Aquarius. There’s a lot of activity going on this Summer and one thing is for sure; nothing is for certain. Our old pal Uranus says, “If you can think of it, that’s not it.”
The Full Moon on June 29, has Mercury going retrograde until July 23. This is the time to play the three R’s: Regroup, revise and review. To stir things up, Mars joins the “airy” group, getting really cozy with Uranus and Pluto. When Mars pushes Uranus’ buttons on the 4th of July, there’ll be more than holiday fireworks in the air. When things get hot and sticky, make every effort to remain cool, physically as well as emotionally. The Capricorn Moon thinks logically. Try to utilize that energy when life hits you with a curve ball.
On July 14, the New Moon has Sun and Moon driving the bus, or trying to. The three biggies, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto are making nice, and hopefully they will continue to. When these slower moving planets get together like this, life changes. This period has been heralded as a golden age of technical growth, medical breakthroughs, and altruism rules the land. We’re not seeing it now, are we? Let us hope our better angels get the upper hand. Into this mix, Jupiter, the “Greater Benefic,” joins the band, lending law and justice to the party. Be hopeful, my friends.
At the Full Moon on July 29, things keep rocking and rolling. Jupiter and Pluto hug that Full Moon, keeping all the biggies occupied. Mercury is direct so things will be moving for sure. What goes on is anyone’s guess. Expect a little havoc. Pay very close attention to what is said, written, and videoed. It’s crazy, nuts, bananas time. There’s an intuitive touch reaching out for some sanity. Us regular types are looking for the details. Pay attention to those details.
The New Moon on August 12 is a Solar Eclipse. Eclipses are tricky little buggers. Planets that hit that degree can trigger ideas and events down the line that echo the actual event. This Eclipse signals a change in outlook and encourages team building. Perhaps as a result of those changes in outlook, all the big planetary movers are still in place. Ceres, who was prominent at the Equinox, is cheek by jowl with Mars in Cancer. Mars wants to fight. Most people think that Ceres is about the grass and the grain, but think again. Civilization, law, and justice keeps her on the prowl. These two are digging deep into financial misfeasance, disregard for laws, and wrongdoings that may have been hidden.
We close out August with the Lunar Eclipse. Once again, with this Eclipse, everyone’s intuition is on high gear. The Sun in Virgo wants the facts, the Moon in Pisces knows it’s out there, but is still digging. While authorities uncover the bad guys, us regular folks want to enjoy the last of Summer. We socialize, connect with our friends, and enjoy the things we love to do. Mars and Ceres are still looking for the uglies out there.
The last New Moon of the season on September 10 brings the Virgo energy to the fore. We’re thinking of family, conversation, and enjoying the folks in our life. Virgo, of course, likes facts and brings that energy to us. We listen and learn, and it does not feel like a chore. That Summer Solstice energy stays with us. Ideas and movement keeps Virgo busy with our ideas sorted, in line, and ready to make any changes in our lives. It does not have to be huge, perhaps just a nudge in the right direction.
Summer says there is something in the air, something different on the wind; you can feel it. The Air signs will feel it first. Not an Air sign? Not to worry, astrology plays the original equal opportunity horoscope game. The Air signs are in your chart somewhere. This Solstice, featuring Uranus and Ceres so prominently, can’t help but change things. Uranus is the “Great Awakener.” And Ceres does not take a back seat. She rules law and civilization. While lawyers talk of the rule of law, Ceres speaks of sacred law. Oaths and promises broken. We have to keep our feet on the ground and may have to listen to some hot-air politician push more bullshit, or some freaky weather that confounds us. Not to worry, keep our better angels in mind.
