Party like it’s 1785! One could argue that Rhode Island, the first colony to declare independence from England, has bragging rights to the best Independence Day celebrations in the country. This event is the oldest continuous Independence Day celebration in the United States. The 2.5 mile Parade begins at 10:30am and will step-off at the corner of Chestnut and Hope Sts (Rt. 114) and end on High St, between State and Bradford Sts, Bristol. Don’t forget to bring sunscreen and cold beverages to stay cool and hydrated while enjoying the celebration! See the website for additional information.
