Lunar Notes: July’s Trump Watch

For Donald Trump, the lead-up to the July 9th Full Moon and beyond brings frustrations, issues with women and diplomatic snafus. A Gemini with a Sagittarius Moon, Donald Trump needs variety and freedom. As President, his life is circumscribed and that hemmed-in feeling does not sit well with him. His outlet is the tweet.

Things do not go as planned and his frustration increases when his plans are thwarted. Despite this, Donald Trump’s innate optimism, (Gemini Sun, Sagittarius Moon) keeps him confident. Aspects to his chart during this period boosts that confidence. Over-confident, overly optimistic and over-the-top. This will be reflected in the tweet.

Counteracting all that exuberance are the transits of Saturn and Mars. Saturn, the grim reaper, opposes his Sun, raising the frustration level as plans are thwarted and obstacles are placed in his way. Backing that up is the transit of Mars to his natal Saturn. This can bring a controlled use of energy and is good if one has to accomplish a long and tedious task. Donald Trump, with Sun and Uranus conjunct in Gemini, is not given to control. Easily bored, his basic nature flits from one subject/task to another. True to his Gemini Sun, multi-tasking is second-nature to him. Focus is difficult, and Mars to Saturn forces that focus.

The Full Moon period into the Last Quarter on the 16th will be a very emotional time for him. Women, women in power and women in diplomatic positions push his buttons. This will be a stressful time for him, but he will carry on without revealing a glimmer of that stress to the public. He is a Leo Rising. Rising sign is how people see you and is a big part of one’s personality. With Leo here, the show must go on. No matter what is going on behind the scenes, Leo Rising puts the best foot forward and carries on.

With the New Moon in Leo on July 23, behind-the-scenes negotiations and covert action become the order of the day. Do not be fooled by the smokescreen of ridiculous tweets; Donald Trump is playing a deeper game here. He will have his diplomatic moments, say the right thing and be politically correct. But that impulsive, restless nature will result in the usual tweet storm. Pay attention to those tweets. They may be nonsensical and create a shit storm over nothing, but given his nature he can’t help but reveal a secret. He’s a puzzle, but the Gemini energy compels him to pass on information. That compulsion will bring trouble his way.

As we move into the August Eclipse period, things will intensify. The Great American Eclipse will have a profound effect on the president as well as the nation. Stay tuned.
