Artistic Director, Herci Marsden, invites you to join The State Ballet of Rhode Island for the fourth of its four Project Ballet Coffee Hours: “From Studio to Stage” this Saturday, April 18th, for an inside view of how a ballet is created – from the training of a dancer to the inspiration of a choreographer – with music, lecture, and a visual performance!

This Coffee Hour will feature notable ballet variations selected from the Company’s rich 55-year repertoire.

FREE to the public, Project Ballet Coffee Hour is a four-series, family-friendly, in-house event that takes place in the Company’s 56-year-old historic ballet studio in Lincoln, RI.  SBRI Coffee Hours seek to bring viewers an interactive and up-close look at the behind-the-scenes of a ballet, from choreography, to costume design and fitting, music composition, and more.   Light refreshments will also be provided, sponsored in part by Cabot Creamery of Vermont.
