230th Bristol Fourth of July Celebration: Party like it’s 1785! One could argue that Rhode Island, the first colony to declare independence from England, has bragging rights to the best Independence Day celebrations in the country. 4th Annual Public Reading of the Declaration of Independence: Travel back to July 4, 1776 and hear what the Founding Fathers declared for the original 13 colonies.
