Jenny Currier

Jennifer Currier is a former English teacher and dolphin trainer, raised in the desert of Roswell, New Mexico. She often suffers from wanderlust and a constant hunger for gelato. Jennifer earned her graduate degree from Dartmouth College, where she studied creative writing and met her first Rhode Islander. It only took one coffee milk and a clam cake to convince her to return to The Ocean State. She maintains several odd jobs and blogs under the alias Queen Jenevere. She plans to keep traveling, writing, and promoting herself as “sometimes funny.”

Terry Shea

Motif theater editor Terry Shea caught our eye when he started the RI theater review website MoreTeeth (we see what you did there, Terry!). He started writing for Motif in 2012 and quickly became in indispensable part of our theater reviewer team, able to navigate the tricky world of local theater with grace, humor and enthusiasm. Terry co-produces our wildly popular annual theater awards, helping to lead everything from the selection of nominees and event performances to confirming that we do, indeed, have enough batteries for the mics. Since the 1980s, Terry has been active as an actor, sound designer, producer or director (or all of the above, depending on the production), most recently appearing onstage in Deathtrap at Barker Playhouse and in the Richard Griffin film Code Name: Dynastud. Terry also serves on the Board of Directors of the Greenwich Odeum and on the North Kingstown Arts Council, and is president of the newly formed West Bay Community Theater.
