Monday, July 4: Revival Fest II, Dusk, 301 Harris Ave, Providence; 1pm – 2am, FREE; (not sure age restrictions). For the last 10 or so years, the 4th of July in Providence means to me being outside all day in the sun and watching a zillion bands for free somewhere. Revival Fest grew out of the ashes of Liberty Fest (which also may still be going on?) and takes place now for the second time inside and also in the parking lot of Dusk. It starts at 1pm and goes until likely 2am. The set times are up on the event page, so you can try to sort out BBQs, pool parties, perhaps the fireworks in India Point Park, and even make multiple trips back and forth from the Revival Fest. Or if you are in the mood, staying there all day is a good time, too. Highlights to me include Bad Motherfucker, Teazer, Pixels, Thee Itchies, Tall Teenagers, Bloodpheasant, Gym Shorts, the return of Smith and Weeden (top 5 article house band), and many others.
