2.Atlantic Beach Park, 321 Atlantic Ave, Westerly, RI 02891. Family beach, amusements, kiddy rides, snack bars, antique 1915 carousel, batting cages, bumper boats, go-karts, miniature golf, game room, water slides, gift shop, beachware, ocean view cocktail lounge.
3.Blue Shutters Town Beach, 469 East Beach Road, Charlestown, RI 02813. Concession stand, picnic tables, restrooms, showers, beach accessible wheel chairs and discounted admission for seniors.
4.Bristol Town Beach, Route 114, Asylum Road, Bristol, RI, 02809. Playground, pavilion, volleyball, picnic areas, every kind of sporting field including skateboard park, inline hockey, tennis, etc. Six mile fitness trail, basketball court.
5.Captain Roger Wheeler State Beach, 100 Sand Hill Cove Road, Narragansett, RI 02882. Also known as “Sand Hill Cove Beach.” Popular for young children, fully-protected by breakwater. No pets allowed.
6. Charleston Beach, Coast Guard Road/Champlin Road, New Shoreham, RI 02807. Popular beach with fishermen, especially along the jetty at its North end. For beachgoers, the jetty is a challenging walk.
7. Charlestown Breachway State Beach, Charlestown Beach Road, Charlestown, RI 02813. Restroom without shower facilities. Boat ramp and parking area for trailers. Lifeguard on duty.
8. Charlestown Town Beach, 557 Charlestown Beach Road, Charlestown, RI 02813.
9. Conimicut Point Beach, Point Ave Warwick, RI 02886. Saltwater beach, walking path and playground area.
10. East Beach, East Beach Road, Charlestown, RI 02813. Open from sunrise until sunset. Handicap sand chairs available. No pets.
11. East Matunuck State Beach, 950 Succotash Road, South Kingstown, RI, 02881. Over 100 acres of beach, 25 picnic tables, though no pets allowed. This beach is newly renovated with environmentally-friendly systems that run off of sunlight!
12. Easton’s Beach, 175 Memorial Blvd, Newport, RI 02840. Adjacent is the famous Cliff Walk, outdoor skateboard park, seasonal carousel and Save the Bay’s “Exploration Center.” Free use of sand wheelchairs along with a children’s playground, covered picnic pavilion, seasonal snack bar, restrooms and showers. No pets allowed.
13. Fred Benson Town Beach, Corn Neck Road, New Shoreham, RI 02807 Known as Crescent Beach. Lifeguards are on duty from 10am until 5pm
14. Goddard Memorial State Park, 1095 Ives Road, Warwick, RI 02818. This park is home to a newly renovated saltwater beach and bathhouse, 350+ picnic tables, 11 game fields, and a new performing arts center for weddings, concerts, picnics and special events.
15. Grinnell’s Beach, Main Road, Tiverton, RI 02878. Small, family-oriented beach on the Sakonnet River. Easy access to the beach and to its facilities.
16. Island Park Beach, Park Avenue, Portsmouth, RI 02871. Free admission, though no facilities.
17. Jamestown Town Beach, Beavertail Road, Jamestown, RI 02835. Public bathing beach with lifeguards.
18. Misquamicut State Beach, 257 Atlantic Avenue, Westerly, RI 02891. Half a mile worth of clean, clear water beaches and a low surf zone. Parking for 2,100 cars at state facility. Large new pavilion, shade structures, coin-operated hot showers, cold showers, changing rooms, concessions, first-aid and restrooms.
19. Narragansett Town Beach, Boston Neck Road, Narragansett, RI 02882. Half a mile of public beach with two full-service pavilions including lifeguards, food concessions, restrooms, first aid, handicap accessible.
20. North Kingstown Town Beach, Beach Street, North Kingstown, RI 02852. Narrow, gravel, shaded lawn beach with a retaining wall and picnic tables right behind it.
21. Oakland Beach, Oakland Beach Avenue, Warwick, RI 02889. Bay inlet beach. Saltwater beach with local restaurants nearby. Boat ramp on Bay Avenue.
22. Salty Brine State Beach, 254 Great Island Road. Narragansett, RI 02881. No undertow with a gradual drop at the shoreline, making this beach ideal for children. Also located near a fishing port.
23. Sandy Point Beach, 2200 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI 02871. Town beach including changing rooms and restrooms, also with active lifeguards.
24. Scarborough Beach, 870 Ocean Rd. Narraganset, RI 02882 Stone pavilion, fine, grainy sand. Lifeguards on duty, restrooms, showers and concession stands.
25. Second Beach, 474 Sachuest Point Road, Middletown, RI 02842. Immediate access to salt-water beach. There are also toilets and hot showers, though no pets are allowed.
26. South Kingstown Town Beach at Matunuck, Matunuck Beach Road, South Kingstown, RI 02879. Boardwalk, playground, volleyball court and picnic area.
27. South Shore Beach, South Shore Road, Little Compton, RI 02837. Lifeguards on duty, no pets allowed.
28. Tiverton Town Beach, Fogland Road, Tiverton, RI 02878. Swimming, picnic facilities, fishing and children’s playground. Restrooms, shower and changing rooms are also readily available.
29. Warren Town Beach, Water Street, Warren, RI 02885. Park open to the public with fee, parking is free for Warren residents.
30. Watch Hill Beach, Westerly, RI 02891. Sandy beach with antique carousel, private bathhouses and nearby shops.
Connecticut
31. Ocean Beach, 98 Neptune Avenue in New London. Half a mile worth of boardwalk, Olympic-sized swimming pool, locker facility with private changing areas.
Massachusets
32. Horseneck Beach, route 88, Westport Point. 600 acres of barrier beach and salt marsh. Two miles worth of breezy beach all year long, which provides a great wind-surfing environment!

East Bay Bike Path – 15 miles. East Providence, Barrington, Warren, Bristol
Washington Secondary Bike Path- 10 miles. Cranston, Warwick, West Warwick, Coventry
The Quonset Bike Path – 2.5 miles. North Kingstown
Woonasquatucket River Greenway Bike Path – 3 miles. Downtown Providence to Johnston
Ten Mile River Greenway – 2.5 miles. East Providence to Pawtucket
Blackstone River Greenway – 11.5 miles. Cumberland, Lincoln, Woonsocket
