Motif is looking for a new lead designer! Required skills include Photoshop, InDesign, PrePress knowledge, some web and social media familiarity, plus an interest in arts and entertainment, energy, efficiency and good communication skills.

The job is part time – 20 to 30 hours a week, depending on how much the candidate wants to take on, and is $15 per hour. It also includes admission to select events and endless amounts of glory. And it can be a lot of fun.

Responsibilities will be to layout the magazine in InDesign, perform updates to the WordPress website, plan and manage art submissions and graphical content, including communications with cover illustrators and artists, and participating in content planning meetings and brainstorming.

Motif is Rhode Island’s alternative arts and entertainment paper, distributed free state-wide to 76,000 readers.
