Since March is Women’s History Month, it seemed appropriate to highlight some stellar female artists making their mark on the local music scene.
Bee and The Boys
Fronted by vocalist Belinda Landry, Bee and The Boys is a four-piece group who have been making their way around southern RI for the past year, playing crowd-favorite rock covers with their own funky twist. Julie Rhodes
With a level of soul and grit that’s tough to come by, Julie Rhodes is a vocal force singing rock and the blues throughout the Providence area with her band, which is a must-see live. Playing both covers and originals, there’s something to be found for everyone in her high energy, feverish performances. Taking inspiration from rock, country and folk heroes such as Brandi Carlisle, Chris Stapleton, and Billy Strings, Rhodes is undoubtedly an artist to have on your local must-see list.
