Opened:

Bistro Locale: Not brandy new, but opening a second location! This popular Attleboro restaurant has doubled in Lincoln. Goodbye Nathaniel’s Bistro, hello huevos rancheros! Husband and wife duo, Luis Cano and Rocio Hernandez, focus on creating Mexican and American dishes, without shying from combining them both; for example, a menu that features Nutella Crunch French Toast and a Carnitas Skillet. Yolk on over to 600 George Washington Highway for bites, or virtual grub @bistro.locale.

El Rodeo Mexican Bar and Grill: Nothing beats a good marg and a basket of chips and guac. Well, probably some things. Anyway, here is a new place to get some of your needs fulfilled! El Rodeo promises to be Cumberland’s new go-to spot for authentic Mexican cuisine. Their Pulp Zarandeado sounds pretty tasty, and their Facebook boasts “famous JUMBO margaritas.” Go check out the hype at 405 Mendon Rd, Cumberland or their Insta @elrodeocumberland.

Roam Bar and Restaurant: A new spot on Federal Hill for tapas and craft cocktails. One Google Review user writes, “Tapas and all bites are exactly what girls want on a night out.” Don’t need to say that twice, GF. Taking a look through their socials, it looks like an influencer’s paradise: Fabulously picturesque plates of nachos, tacos, wings, and the obligatory espresso martini. Go try for yourself at 224 Atwells Ave, PVD.

Discipline Brewing Co.: Not quite open yet, but taking the spot of Smug Brewery. The Reddit thread does not seem to be kind to them. Dare I repeat the contrarian postings here? No, I’ll leave that to ye curious readers. Keep an eye on their progress @disciplinebrewingco. You might get spanked if you don’t.

Closed:

Tiny bar: The tiniest of bars, this beloved PVD location is closing. The Instagram post announcing the decision is a tearjerker: “We’ve always strived to be a place where everyone felt welcome, safe, and seen. Now, six years later, it’s time to close this chapter. We are infinitely grateful to our guests, vendors, partners, and staff — you are our everything.” We wish them the best of luck in whatever their next move is, and thank them for their years of tiny, but tasty, cocktails!

Justine’s: If you’ve walked into Justine’s before, you know it’s not just a lingerie shop (or maybe you don’t, if you never peeked behind the velvet curtains). Well, it was more than that. Behind unassuming mannequins donning red and black lace, reposed a speak-easy artist’s paradise. A cool place to hang back, relax, and hide from whoever you don’t want to see… unless they also happened to be in the know. We’re not quite sure yet while it’s closing, but we actually are quite sure why it’s closing. Shhh…. Just like Justine’s, it’s meant to be kept a secret.
