Paddle through downtown Providence and learn about the river’s role during colonial times, the industrial period, and even today. Starting on Water Street, and travelling through Waterplace Park and under the Mall will take you on a magnificent journey, from the bustle of an urban center to an oasis of wildlife – you’ll see a beautiful Providence you may not have known existed. See red-tailed hawks, great blue herons and maybe a painted turtle! The complete trip is about 4 miles.
