You’ve read every article there is about the best tips and tricks for Pokeball-throwing, collecting items and hatching eggs. Now you’re ready to take it to the streets. Here’s a list of the five best places in PVD to catch Pokemon and stock up on items.

Crescent Park, 700 Bullocks Point Ave, Riverside

Alright. This is a game-changer for Pokemon Go players. Crescent Park has four Pokestops that are constantly stocked with lures. The best part is, there are almost always at least 20 to 50 people walking back and forth between these stops playing Pokemon Go. The more people around these lures, the rarer the Pokemon that spawn there. So if you’re looking to fill out your Pokedex, this is where you want to go. You could easily spend hours here, trust us. Plus you can grab some delicious seafood while you’re there at Blount Clam Shack or hop on the historic Crescent Park Carousel!

Burnside Park, 2 Kennedy Plaza, Providence

With a giant fountain as its centerpiece, this park is home to some very interesting Pokestop landmarks including a giant xylophone and a sinking ship sculpture. It’s also a popular place for Pokemon Go players, since it’s in the center of the city, right near Providence Place Mall, Waterplace Park and the RI Convention Center. Needless to say, its four Pokestops are always decked out with lures, and there’s always plenty of players around to help spawn rare Pokemon.

Roger Williams Park Zoo, 1000 Elmwood Ave, Providence

Where can you find over 20 Pokestops and three gyms in such a small area? Roger Williams Park Zoo is a goldmine if you’re willing to pay the price for admission. But the price is right for a day with exotic animals and a Pokemon hunting spree to remember. Roger Williams Park Zoo even holds special days where their staff will put lures on all of the Pokestops in the park and offers discounts for Pokemon Go players who buy memberships to the zoo!

Driving around the park without entering the zoo also will yield a good bagful of items if you’re in the area.

India Point Park, 220 India St, Providence

If you’re looking to get some of that sweet ocean breeze, India Point Park is the place for you. It has a good collection of Pokestops along with a gym and some some beautiful ocean views. This park is often used as a primary site for big events in Providence, making it an exciting spot that draws huge crowds on weekends. So if you’re looking for a cool breezy stroll and some Pokemon hunting, this is the place to be. You might just get lucky and catch a food truck or two while you’re there!
