The World is Old Tonight.
Instrumentation includes guitar, mountain dulcimer, banjo, Irish whistle, harmonica, foot percussion, and vocals; as well as djembe, uilleann pipes, piano, bass, fiddle, cello, and Chinese erhu by guest musicians John Cerrigione, Uriah Donnelly, Kevin Doyle and Torrin Ryan.
These songs “represent our glory days with the late Jean Ritchie and other long-time friends, including Daniel Dutton,” says Donnelly. “These are time-honored songs that we hope kindle ancestral, old-world remembrances of enchanted and sacred seasons in your own lives.”
