Chill, music, To do in Rhode Island
A refreshingly rare and fun evening of acoustic music as ancient as the earth and as new as the future. Featured on NPR and appearing on WGBH’s A Celtic Sojourn, Lindsay Adler is a vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and composer who plays a wide variety of stringed, wind, and percussion instruments, including the vielle a roue, bouzouki, dulcimer, harp, lyre, and other unusual instruments. She seamlessly bridges the gap between ancient and modern folk music, crossing cultural boundaries with her own original blend of acoustic fusion.
At Sandywoods, Lindsay’s intricate instrumentals and mesmerizing vocals will be paired with the exquisite classical stylings of Christine Warren on violin. The concert will include original and traditional Celtic, American, and Middle Eastern music. Lindsay is praised by critics for her fluid fingerstyle guitar playing, sensual vocals, and playful rapport with the audience. Her music is best described as “Eclectic World Folk Fusion.” Featured will be songs and instrumentals from Lindsay’s solo album titled “Spirals Of Love.” CDs will be available for purchase at the show, and whimsical door prizes will be sprinkled throughout!
