Obituary — Margaret Murascziowitz: “endlessly supportive of local film”

“Margot” Małgorzata Nicole Pugacz-Muraszkiewicz, a well known actor and creative in the Rhode Island and Boston film scene for years, lost her battle with ALS in late 2023. Margot was endlessly supportive of local film endeavors of all sizes, always ready with a kind encouraging outlook, while maintaining the highest professional standards. She worked regularly as a stand-in for Jeri Ryan (“Deep Space 9,” “Picard”). When “Body of Proof” was shooting in Rhode Island, she stood in for Ryan, and when the production moved to LA, she was given the opportunity to move with it and fostered her career there, but stayed in touch with RI filmmakers for the last decade. Sets everywhere will miss her energy.
