A new business called Archery Games has opened up in Olneyville at 40 Sonoma Court, PVD. Billed as combat archery, it is an interesting twist on dodgeball, but played with bows and soft, foam-tipped arrows. If you can dodge a wrench, hopefully you can dodge an arrow. archerygamespvd.com

Some West Side residents may take umbrage at anyone attempting to step into the shoes of the beloved E&O Tap, but Deadbeats has done just that. At this point, Feast & Fettle vans are ubiquitous in this area. You may have been leery to sign up for their delivery service, but now you can satisfy your curiosity by going to their brick and mortar location, called Feast & Fettle Neighborhood Fridge, in the Blackstone Place Plaza at 727 East Ave, Pawtucket to try them out. The Patio on Broadway, a PVD offshoot of popular eatery The Patio on Main in East Greenwich, is “Coming Soon” according to the big banner on the building at the corner of Broadway and Dean Streets, former site of beloved vegan restaurant The Grange. On Route 44, in what was once Harmony Lodge, now resides Assados Kitchen & Bar. Opened recently by the owner of the Roast House, the menu is primarily upscale pub food with a strong Portuguese influence (Assado means roast in Portuguese), with some interesting specialty cocktails. Hone your assassin skills at Far Shot Providence, 95 Chestnut St PVD, a new axe and knife throwing bar that opened March 27 in the Jewelry District. Employees are trained by the Head Coach of the World Axe Throwing League, so you’ll be in good hands (at least, we presume he’s sharp). Aquidneck Island stalwart Sig’s Place will permanently close on April 1 after being in operation nearly 90 years. No joke. Coming in its place sometime in May will be The Roasted Clove Deli & Catering, serving elevated comfort food. Located at 1151 Aquidneck Ave. Middletown. After moving from Pawtucket to Scituate last year, Smoke & Squeal BBQ has permanently closed, leaving behind only a delightful logo and many tasty memories.

Yoleni’s, the Greek restaurant and market in downtown PVD, has closed for good. The favorite stop for former Motif food editor Jennifer Currier, this authentically Greek restaurant/grocery in Downcity will be sorely missed by many. Kali Tychi!
