“A new Greek concept in heart of downcity, from the owners of Rosalina,” has opened at 250 Westminster St PVD. We’re sure this place will have a name – and a review – soon.

A new Italian restaurant is opening up soon right next to Dexter Park, with a name that screams, “These people know pasta.” Pastaio, which will presumably have an address, has social hype well worth checking out! It’s pronounced like Rocky shouting out for pasta.

Providence Coal Fired has another space in Westerly. Watch out for a dramatic rise in coal consumption! And pizza consumption. 162 Granite Street, Westerly

Bayberry Beer Hall, a – you guessed it – beer hall and kitchen is coming soon to 381 West Fountain on the West Side of PVD (not far from Long Live Beerworks).

Garden of Eve Caribbean Cuisine had their grand opening on April 22. We hear their apples are to die for. Or at least sinfully delicious. Right near Eagle Square, 405 Harris Ave, PVD

Aroy-D Thai Cuisine also joins the Federal Hill “not Italian food” league at 332 Atwells Ave, PVD

The Torchbearer Tattoo had the long-awaited grand opening of its new location on the West Side. Get a walk-in while you still can – there are fans who really bear a torch for this shop. 755 Westminster St, PVD. (guys, call us, we can fix that URL for you)

Taco, Inc, a new taco spot, has come out of its shell at 94 Plain St, PVD

Wong’s Kitchen, near College Hill is now open, serving up Vietnamese so right at 10 Waterman ST, PVD.

Rocco’s Bistro (a sister to Rocco’s Pub and Grub in Smithfield) has opened in East Greenwich at 219 Main Street.

Nautilus Books in Wayland Square is moving to a new location on S. Angell Street, Keep an eye out for them as they set sail to their new space around June!

Johnny Rockets on Thayer street has closed its doors, making it feel like 1959. 269 Thayer street, PVD

What Cheer Records on Thayer Street in PVD  is closing May 31. We are definitely not cheering about this one – but it gives you a month to get all the vinyl you want to rotate. (side note: What Cheer the bar, no relation, has recently reopened on the other side of PVD. Don’t mix them up)
Tallulah on Thames is officially closed in Newport. The other Tallulahs remain open – the shack in Jamestown, the Taqueria in PVD – and you’ll still find them at various farmer’s markets (check our upcoming Summer Guide for that)
