Opened & Closed

With a Rebel Yell, the former Providence RiRa has returned to life as the Rebel Lounge & Restaurant, which delicately balances being a restaurant during the evening and a night club later on. Also in Downcity PVD, the Red Fin has swum in where Fratelli’s burgers used to be on Washington St. It’s serving seafood (not surprising) with a Caribbean flair. 10 Rocks in Pawtucket is a new creole/Cajun restaurant upscale enough that it would spin the head of its former occupant, the dive bar/karaoke destination Murray’s Pub. And Johnston welcomes The Music Man Café, a café that also features hearty Italian fare and puts on a show with items like the “Fat Elvis” French Toast (with everything on it, and more). Cranston’s Thirsty Beaver has constructed an additional Dam in Smithfield – providing more space and pub food for thirsty beavers north of rte 44. Coventry welcomes craft beer with the grand opening of Doherty’s Ale House Lakeside, on the shores of Lake Tiouge (where Nino’s used to be). Its two outdoor decks join us just in time for outside deck weather.
