When Valentine’s Day rolls around, many of us feel the pressure to rekindle love’s flame. If you are looking for a new and fun experience to bring you and your partner together, the New England Leather Alliance (NELA) has the perfect event for you!
New England’s 48th Fetish Fair Fleamarket will be happening February 17 – 19 at the Crowne Plaza in Warwick. The Fetish Fair Fleamarket has a wide variety of activities for people new and experienced in the fetish world. Whether you are looking to explore a secret fantasy, refine a playful practice in a workshop or simply shop around for some new bedroom goodies, the Fetish Fair Fleamarket has a little something for everyone.
The Fair offers a huge variety of workshops on everything from rope art to age play, including caning, body positivity, gender awareness, suspension play and how to engage in safe negotiation practices. Presenters come from all over to ensure a well-rounded repertoire of practices guaranteeing something for all tastes. Attending the fair is a fun way to talk to your partner about inviting new experiences into your bedroom. And the shops that are set up in hotel rooms make it easy to find a souvenir to suit your needs.
The Fair is a truly safe place. The celebration of individuality and body positivity found in the crowds is inspiring and greatly needed in these times when being different can be difficult. Fleagoers are free to be exactly who they are with no fear of judgment or bullying.
Regulars will be interested to know that the Fetish Fair Flea will be hosting a play party Saturday night. At 10pm, the plaza ballroom and foyer will be transformed into a fully equipped dungeon where patrons are encouraged to experiment and be playful with each other. To top off the weekend of festivities the RKO Army will be in attendance to perform their signature rendition of the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
So get out of your Valentine’s Day routine and go have a wild time with your partner. Who knows — it may just bring you closer together. Check out NELAs website (nelaonline.org) for vendors, workshop schedule and play party rules.
