Joining the 2016 travel team rosters will be Boones Harm, Buzz AllDread, Citizen Toxie, Fuhgeddaboudit, Goldie Glocks, Hit and Run Paulene, Jetta von Diesel, Mary Slayne, Milla LowLife, Munchie Minx, Nutritional Beast, Pez DespenseHer, Puma Thurman, Rollin’ on Dubz, Roxy ElbowYa, Shotz of Petrone, Shreddy Roosevelt, Smashley Olsen, Smoke N Mirrors, Sinnamon Splice, Susie Homewrecker, Trannie Oakley and Varla Gunz.
This year’s home bouts for travel season are very few this year – two in fact! April 2 and April 30, PRD will host their sanctioned bouts against #121 Granite State and #96 Suburbia. For the rest of 2016, the Riveters and Killah Bees will be invading their opponents’ turfs:
April 16 in Washington, DC against both #78 DC and #73 Burning River
May 7 in Rochester, New York against #76 Roc City
May 21 in North Arlington, New Jersey against #98 Garden State
June 4 in Essex Junction, Vermont against #72 Green Mountain
This season kicks off in Portland, Maine, on March 12 against #81 Maine and concludes with the Killah Bees competing in Feasterville, Pennsylvania, at the annual East Coast Derby Extravaganza on June 17 – June 19. Once the travel season wraps, the home season starts up in the heat of the summer as PRD splits up into three teams: The Old Money Honeys, The Mob Squad, and last year’s home season champions, the Sakonnet River Roller Rats. Dates and locations to be announced soon on ProvidenceRollerDerby.com, where you can also get the latest news and purchase tickets in advance.
