Mixed Magic Theatre is pleased to announce auditions for its November 2013 production of “Othello.” Featuring Ricardo Pitts-Wiley in the title role.
Roles Available:
Duke of Venice
Brabantio, a senator.
Gratiano, brother to Brabantio.
Lodovico, kinsman to Brabantio.
Othello, a noble Moor in the service of the Venetian state.
Cassio, his lieutenant.
Iago, his ancient.
Roderigo, a Venetian gentleman.
Montano, Othello’s predecessor in the government of Cyprus.
Clown, servant to Othello.
Desdemona, daughter to Brabantio and wife to Othello.
Emilia, wife to Iago.
Bianca, mistress to Cassio.
Sailor, Messenger, Herald, Officers, Gentlemen, Musicians, and Attendants.
Please prepare one Shakespearean monologue (tragedy or history) not exceeding one and a half minutes. Be prepared for the possibility of a cold reading. Actors are encouraged to provide a headshot and resume.
Auditions will be held from 7-10PM on Monday, August 19th. Timeslots will be available in 5-minute blocks beginning at 7PM.
