Kim Kinzie

Kim Fogarty Kinzie is a former prosecutor turned writer. After many years arguing in court, Kinzie opted for a kinder, gentler career writing training manuals for cops and lawyers, the most popular being the one and only “Massachusetts Prosecutors Guide: Operating Under the Influence.” Now she is a stay-at-home mom of two young boys and a regular contributor for Motif as of March 2013. She recently published her first novel, Conscious Unparenting™: Our 1970’s Spin on Modern-Day Motherhood, which she co-authored with a childhood friend. Her book seeks to start a parenting movement that’s less kid-centric, more parent friendly. She and her co-author blog about their movement, and all things retro-parenting at www.consciousunparenting.com.
