Off the Curb was the first hip hop dance troupe in New England EVER!!! Founded in 1992, Jackie Henderson used hip hop dancing to keep kids off the streets and away from drugs and violence. She traveled her performance group to Italy, Portugal, Canada and throughout the US. Off the Curb was featured on BET’s Teen Summit and F/X’s Breakfast Time show. The troupe was also the stars of the documentary “The Heart of Hip Hop” which was aired on PBS and won countless film festival awards nationally. The troupe opened up concerts for many famous hip hop artists and they were sponsored by Reebok, Crunch Fitness, and Phat Farm. The company closed in 2008 and Jackie Henderson is bringing back the dancers for a REUNION SHOW that will showcase classic Off the Curb dance pieces from 1992-2008. The dancers will be performing new choreography as well!
