Wintertime is special. In the face of bleak weather and wracking cold, humanity still finds a way to infuse joy and warmth into a season when everything in nature has slowed or died. And since it is a near universal sense of celebration found in a multitude of forms across myriad cultures, the winter also brings us all together, regardless of superficial distinction.
But not everyone will feel the warmth of the global community this cold season. People of all ages face innumerable challenges during the frigid months of winter, including those youngest members of our society.
That is why everyone at Motif invites all of our readers to support our drive to bring toys, clothes and books to less privileged children across the great state of Rhode Island.
Working in conjunction with Children’s Wishes, we will collect gifts for kids and young people at our offices at 65 Blackstone Ave, Pawtucket, RI 02860, until December 19. All donations are welcome. Thank you in advance for your kindness and warmth during this cold winter season.
